I am sure I am the last one to jump on the bandwagon but the movie and soundtrack Garden State is excellent!!!!

I am kinda happy today and have no reason. I am constantly busy working just to pay the bills it seems like and I need laid yet for some reason today I am happy. Go figure. Oh yeah, and the Pink Panther song keeps running through my head.

Intresting buffy thought
So I bought the Angel magazine featuring buffy last night and found out that the woman who played halfrek is the same one who played the woman who told spike before he was a vampire that he was beneath her. The rumor and thought is that the characters are the same character. Believing that it was either before her vengence demon days or she was already a vengence demon then. Pretty cool huh. Of course I could be the last person to catch a clue.

The craziest thing happened to me the other day. I went down to Pamela's in the strip for lunch. So I am sitting at the counter and this woman is sitting two stools to the left of me she looked late thirties early forties. In any case I had just got my food. Well I saw get up to pay and after she did she came to me almost in tears, handed me ten dollars and told me she wanted to pay for my food cause I reminded her of her dead brother. I was completely blown away. I couldn't say no for the fear of hurting her feelings or disrespecting her. So I took the money. However after she left I put it in the feed the hungry can cause I didn't really need it but the gesture was astounding.

Serenity
Went and saw Serenity last night and I absolutly loved it. Now it could be that I loved it cause I am such a Joss Whedon geek. I thought the story telling was fantastic, it had a good balance of humor and action and summer's character (river) is such a badass in it.Overall it was wonderful and I would recomend it to everyone.

This entry is to tell everyone who stopped into my impromptu birthday celebration at Tiki thank you so much. I know I don't see everyone a whole lot and I was extremely touched that you all came and were just so I don't know if loving is the word but it was great and so many bought me drinks that I bearly paid for anything. You are all wonderful. Bethy,TT,Dan Mike,Dain,Tanya,AAron,and suprisingly Paul. Even steve and I had conversation. You all kick ass. Also at some point I might try to have a going away party. Also Bethy I will stop in saturday to tell you happy birthday at Lava.

God has pissed in my sugarbowl
We had to put our dog down last friday because she got very sick and the vet said it was something nurological. She said the treatment would be very expensive, the dog may die in the process and it may not help her. So the vet said it was best to put her down. So I guess it was the best thing to do but it still sucks donkey balls. We miss her like crazy. She's not at the top of the steps when I come home,she's not in her cage when I get up in the morning. She was always so excited to see us. All she ever wanted was love. We gave her lots of love and she gave it in return even when she was sick she was still loving. What the fuck why does it gotta happen to my fucking dog. A big part of my heart is definitly missing. I'd give anything to have her back. If I thought the treatment would have definitly work I would have sold everything I owned to pay for it. I really miss her.

Military update
Ok here it is people I am offically in the navy. I swore in yesterday. I ship out Febuary 15th I great lakes for boot camp and school. I am going to be a coreman which I am a medic I will fix sick navy people and I could also be deployed with marines to fix them.

I went and saw the new Willy Wonka and it was a good. However it was extemely dark. I kinda expect some aspect of dark, I mean Tim Burton come on but for someone who grew up loving and owning the other version with Gene Wilder it was Wonka on a bad acid trip. Wonka was portrayed as almost having a phobia of germs and being touched right down to the rubber gloves he wears all the way through the movie. Now don't get me wrong I still liked the movie and will still buy it when it comes out to buy because it's still willy wonka and I love Johnny Depp. For me though this movie was (because I have the other ingrained in my head) like someone standing over me with a bat blugoning me and screaming you want your willy wonka bitch here's your fucking willy wonka. So congrats mister burton you got a reaction out of me with your redition. Love it just takes a little getting used to.

Military update
Ok for those of you that don't know yet and care. The Navy says that I have to lose seven pounds by aug. 10th so I can be 177pds. See what happened is when I went to the Navy office they measured my height at 66" so I had to be 177pds to get in (I was 179 at the time) so I dropped 2 pounds in one night so I could be 177. However when the doctors measured me for the physical they said I was 65 and a half inches which put me down in the next weight class which was 170 pounds so I have to lose it and go back Aug 10th

Went to the beehive last night completely a bundle of nerves about the whole navy thing. Very jumpy jittery and rambling. It is an extremely frighting thing to leave everything and everyone I've known and loved but I do believe it's a way to make something of myself. Special thanks to randy for listening to my insesenct rambling it helped slightly.

This journal entry finds me writing to you guys to tell you that I might very well be joining the military. I am researching all branches. However I am probably gonna end up in either the navy or air force because the army and marines are too anxious too send your ass to get shot up. I am kina of excited to go to boot camp. It will kick my ass but the end result wiil be worth plus I do believe it will help me pay off my debt and train me in a career. I am going to see a navy recruiter tonight. I am not signing anything yet just researching. I am doing this because I am kinda stuck in a small rut in life and I believe this will give me a little more room to menuver while also training me and giving me some disipline.

wierd observation
I was walking to the store last night and I have started taking my cd player so I can listen to my music as I journey wherever it is I am going and I noticed that if you have your music loud enough so you can't hear what other people are saying while you are walking past them, if you watch them it is like you are watching or are in a music video. I also found out depnding on what you are listening to it can be funny. For instance on my jont to the store I was listening to Lionel Richie. I don't know if you guys can relate or have noticed this, or maybe I am just strange but I found it amusing.

Pixes
Went to the Pixes last night. Maybe I am getting to old for this shit. The people at the show were moshing to the pixies. I can understand moshing to bands like Pantera,Metallica and Nine Inch Nails but to the Pixes. They did a good set but I liked the one they did in Seattle better. As far as the opening band they get kudos for doing Nena Simone. Their other songs were good but after the third song they all started to sound the same and at one point all I could think for some reason was "Ladies and Gentleman Sexual Choclate". Guess I am wierd that way

The karaoke gig I ranted about in my first journal has an update. The lady who hired me called me yesterday and put me basically on a strictly to fill in when the real dj is busy status. So needless to say I am feeling pretty BITCH SLAPPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
